CMF Australia is your community of volunteers spanning hundreds of years of service to defend there homeland in times of peril as ‘Service above Self’.

The CMF come together during conflict, hostility, war and invasion, training is optional, preparedness is essential in your mind. We form up on the Commonwealth’s rules set by our Head of State, for many of us we were commanded by our modern Patron Field Marshal Prince Phillip, from whom our rules were set, following from King George.

Cadet Military Force

After World War 1, the King of the British Empire ordered that all Forces in the Commonwealth, some 60 plus countries, were brought under one set of King’s Regulations (intermittently Queen’s Regulations) for Air, Land and Sea for all volunteer, irregular, regular, permanent and Territorial bodies of men who would form up under regulations. Historical reference: Note the absence of the word women, the then King it has been cited women were not subject to the regulations therefore could not be punished for breach of duty like the men, they were protected if serving in a force by the Princess Royal, Queen or other female designate.

Locations

The CMF as its all volunteers with flat level management, is anywhere and everywhere wherever 3 or more person meet up.

The CMF is loosely affiliated with all types of human activity: ‘grey nomads’, ‘grey power’, campers, caravaners, travellers, those from scouts, guides, cadets, current forces protecting the Commonwealth, past service members and future service members to mention just a few. You will see the character in sports clubs, pretty well ang group or club that want to help improve themselves and others. The single motto would be service above self.

Recognition

The CMF formed quickly with each settlement formation in the Colonies later being States.

The CMF history is just a bit of history of settlements dealing with conflict. There is no flag or rally place, it has been formed up and dispersed over time by all types of leaders, by Kings, Dukes, Lords, Knights, Officers, politicians and others. They have been raised when their is an alarm, then dispersed when ‘alls well’.
